Gabriele Goettsche-Wanli is an independent international ocean expert and the former Director of the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs, United Nations. She is a member of the International Law Association (ILA) Committee on the Protection of People at Sea.
