Held in Vigo on 12–13 February 2026, this hybrid workshop brought together experts from law, policy, civil society, and the fisheries sector to examine discrimination across fisheries and aquaculture value chains. Sessions addressed structural sex discrimination, occupational safety and health for women and girls, collective action and representation, discrimination affecting LGBT+ and other vulnerable groups, and access to fisheries in Palestine and Western Sahara. The event highlighted why equality, inclusion, and worker voice are essential to protecting rights, dignity, and wellbeing across the sector.
