On 16 April 2026, BlueRights signed its first Memorandum of Understanding with the Indonesia Ocean Justice Initiative in Jakarta. Signed by Professor Irini Papanicolopulu, BlueRights Vice-Chair, and Dr Mas Achmad Santosa, Chief Executive Officer of the Indonesia Ocean Justice Initiative, the agreement strengthens cooperation on human rights at sea through joint training, research dissemination, and stakeholder engagement. The ceremony, attended by Deputy Ministers Ambassador Arif Havas Oegroseno and Mrs Christina Aryani, was followed by a roundtable on migrant and domestic fishers.
